Oakland County is the key to Democratic victories in Michigan and the country. No Democratic Presidential candidate can win the White House without winning Michigan and Michigan can’t be won without winning Oakland County.

OCDP On the Road is Democrats working together

We join together with Democratic campaigns and local Democratic Clubs to support local,county-wide, US House, US Senate and the Presidential campaigns. It’s time to pull out all the stops!

Individuals can choose their location and their assignments

Events range from holiday parades to Arts, Beats and Eats, the Dream Cruise, the Motor City Pride Festival, the fireworks in Rochester, and town and city summer festivals of various types. It’s a great way of getting out there in support of Democratic values and truly make a difference in 2008.

Riding the crest of Democratic victories that swept across Michigan and the country in 2006 and 2007, we’ll be visible and carrying our message throughout the county, working to keep Oakland County "Democratic blue" and winning elections where Democrats had previously not made serious challenges.

OCDP On the Road is a group of volunteers

We march in parades and staff our Oakland Dems’ booth at festivals and events throughout the county. In 2007 we interfaced with tens of thousands of citizens. What enthusiastic support we met! This year will be even better as the excitement builds for Democratic candidates.
